Owners of premium .COM names want to sell their assets for good money. A few days earlier, it was reported that ArtificialIntelligence.com was put up for sale for $9.9 million. Now there is news about a more profitable possible transaction.
According to Domain Gang, information about the sale was posted on the landing page for Tobacco.com. The domain was registered by Michael Fischer back in 1995 and served as a blog for a while, but largely “sat idly.” Now the site paints the benefits of owning such a domain name. For example, it says that the tobacco industry's annual revenues are estimated at approximately $1 trillion.
However, there is not a single word that tobacco causes cancer and cardiovascular diseases. But the seller rather fancifully describes ideal, as he sees them, buyers. He writes that he would ideally like to sell the domain to someone like Elon Musk, Joe Rogan (actor, comedian and martial artist) or Dan Bilzerian (venture capitalist, actor and poker player). It is quite difficult to say what unites these people, except for impressive wealth. However, wealth is undoubtedly a key factor in this case, as the seller wants $25 million for the domain.
