A Family Day of Digital Literacy was held at VDNKh in the Smart City pavilion in Moscow as part of the All-Russian Action "Digital Dictation 2024". This is an educational event to improve the level of knowledge in the field of digital literacy and digital security of Moscow citizens and guests of the capital.
In the first half of the Day, a session "Mom, Dad, I am a "digital" family"" was held with the participation of the organizers of the All-Russian action "Digital Dictation", representatives of the Department of Information Technology of the City of Moscow, Avito, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, Beeline, Yandex GO.
The session was moderated by Sergey Grebennikov, Director of RAEC: "Digital Dictation is an all-Russian action for everyone, uniting entire generations. In addition to online testing, in-person lectures and master classes are held across the country, allowing you to delve deeper into the topic of digital literacy and online safety. Moscow was no exception - at VDNKh we held Digital Literacy Day, where children and adults were able to take the "Digital Dictation" and listen to fascinating lectures from bloggers and Runet representatives. I would like to express special gratitude for organizing the Day to the Moscow Department of Information Technology for their contribution and support of such an important topic as digital literacy, especially in the age of digitalization." Boris Frolov, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Information Technology, spoke about the convenience of using digital services: "Moscow citizens are advanced users of city services - both commercial and government. We are proud of the mos.ru portal, which has more than 420 government services. This allows you to pay bills, transfer meters and thus save time. Then we asked ourselves: how to make the lives of Muscovites even more convenient? This is how value-added services appeared, which provide additional conveniences, such as calling a technician, removing unnecessary things. These services are in constant demand. According to our research, we save Moscow citizens up to 2 days a year with our services. We pay special attention to information security and the protection of personal data."
Victoria Bunchuk, Head of Social Projects at the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, spoke about domains and cases of cyber fraud using domain names: "The website address is the domain. This is a key technology for getting to the right sites, since it is easier for users to remember words rather than numbers. In Russia, there are two national domains: .RU and .РФ, and many have registered two website addresses that are duplicated. There is such a phenomenon as cybersquatting: fraudsters register names similar to well-known brands, trademarks, trade names, etc. and use them for nefarious purposes. There is also phishing, when the user is lured to a fraudulent resource with a similar domain name and design. The user enters personal data, pays for the purchase and loses money. Therefore, pay attention to the domains, whether there are the necessary dots, whether unnecessary symbols are used."
Also, as part of the Family Digital Literacy Day, a series of lectures from bloggers and Runet experts and quizzes from the "Movement of the First" and the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ were held on the topic of digital literacy. The Center’s quiz was prepared on the basis of the quiz "Study the Internet - Govern It!" Its winners received prizes from the Coordination Center, and all participants of the quiz were presented with souvenirs from the Center.
Let us remind you that you can take the "Digital Dictation 2024" until October 28 on the website цифровойдиктант.рф
