Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ announces the enrollment of a new Youth Council! This is a unique opportunity for young professionals to take part in shaping the future of the Russian Internet and contribute to the development of national domains .RU and .РФ.
Members of the Youth Council are directly involved in a variety of events and forums related to Internet Governance, such as:
- IGF (Internet Governance Forum): The UN Forum on Internet Governance, bringing together representatives of governments, civil society, business and the technical community to discuss current issues and collaborate.
- RIGF (Russian Internet Governance Forum): a large annual forum dedicated to issues of regulation and development of the Internet in Russia.
- Generation Connect ITU: An international initiative aimed at bringing together the younger generation to discuss and resolve current issues in the field of ICT (information and communication technology).
They work together on projects related to a variety of aspects of Internet Governance. Recent examples include the “Digital Reality” podcast and the board game being developed for the educational project “Study the Internet - Govern It!”.
How to apply?
Applications for participation in the Youth Council can be submitted until August 15. To do so you should fill out the form.
The results will be announced by the end of August, and the new Council will begin its work in September.

The Youth Council was created to discuss projects and initiatives in the field of development and popularization of national domains .RU/.РФ, development of their technological infrastructure, social and educational projects aimed at increasing the digital literacy of the youth audience of the Runet, increasing the interest of young people in acquiring competencies in the use of ICT, to the development and management of the national segment of the Internet, as well as representing the interests of the younger generation of Internet users.
