On December 1, the expert voting stage of the Фотодомен.РФ national contest concluded. All in all, 210 photographs were selected to take part in the contest. The experts, including representatives of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, the Russian Association of Networks and Services (RANS), and the accredited registrars REG.RU, RU-CENTER and 101 Domains, chose the five best works in each category. All the finalists’ photos can be found on the contest’s website at фотодомен.рф.
The contest’s shortlist includes two photos that have already won audience choice awards: Природа.рф in the Nature in .РФ category and Морскаясвинка.рф in the Business in .РФ category.
“We are glad that many participants got creative with the contest. We expected that it would be mostly photos of ads and banners in .РФ domains taking part in the contest, but a lot of entries also feature domains in very different ways and with various materials. We thank all the participants for such an out-of-the-box approach,” Azalia Maksimova, lead PR manager at REG.RU, shared.
Now it’s time for the jury, who will choose three winners in each category. The award ceremony will take place at the 13th Russian Internet Week (RIW 20/21) on December 7, at the Smart City Pavilion at VDNKh. You can watch the ceremony on the РИФ+КИБ YouTube channel.
“It was quite difficult to choose only five photographs in each category, because there were a lot more, and many of them are at about the same level. I think the most deserving ones made it to the finals. Now everything will be decided by the jury,” noted contest expert Andrey Aleinikov, PR expert of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
