The proposed amendments to the official documents have been published on the Coordination Center website and are open for public discussion:
- Draft Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration in .RU and .РФ
- Draft Accreditation Agreement
- Draft Requirements for an accredited organization (Registrar)
- Draft Regulation on the Commission on accreditation disputes
The changes have been drawn up pursuant to the Specifications prepared by the Coordination Center Working Group, which included representatives of registrars accredited in .RU and .РФ, as well as representatives of the Technical Center of Internet and the Coordination Center.
The aim of the proposed changes and/or additions to the documents is to try and solve the following tasks:
- Implement additional opportunities to protect the domain registrants’ rights and interests and ensure the stability of the domain name system if the registrar fails to fulfill its obligations (including in the case of suspension of the registrar's access to the registry and/or the registrar’ inaction)
- Update the Regulation on the Commission on accreditation disputes based on the accumulated practice of application and changed realities
- Contribute to resolving the situation with domain names in case the registrant for those names has ceased to exist
- To update the terminology in accordance with modern trends in domain name registration
