The Innovative Education and Development Academy has won the 2020 Runet Prize for making a contribution to the development of the Russian internet segment. The academy is a partner of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ for social projects. The award ceremony took place on December 3.
The academy has been acknowledged the best in the special category, Runet’s Digital Immunity, for its significant contribution to building the digital literacy skills of Runet users.
The academy’s projects aimed at promoting the digital consumption culture and digital immunity include the Safe Information Environment nationwide expert council; innovative platforms, based on educational facilities and non-profit organizations, that implement projects on developing a safe information environment at the federal and regional levels; online creative competitions among children and young people, such as Tell the World about Your Russia, and the Russian Anthem in Simple Words; the Vneshkolnik newsletter and YouTube channel, and others.
Some of the academy’s projects are being implemented in collaboration with the Coordination Center, such as the nationwide family IT marathon where, children and parents can use interactive games to test their information literacy and gain experience of working with digital and media technology. The Coordination Center also supports the publication of a newsletter for the Vneshkolnik magazine; the latest issue presented the educational project, Study the Internet & Govern It, with recommendations for its use in the educational process. The Internet for All film anthology, created by Mikhail Komlev at the request of the Coordination Center, was the opening film in the Growing Up Together nationwide festival of educational films with foreign participation.
In May 2020, the Coordination Center and the academy signed a cooperation agreement aimed at improving the digital literacy of internet users and the efficient use of IT services, as well as creating a positive and safe online environment for children and popularizing scientific and technical creative skills.

The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is the partner of the Runet Prize and founder of a special category devoted to the 10th anniversary of the national Cyrillic domain .РФ and the Universal Acceptance concept. The winners in this category are the Vinogradov Russian Language Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Federal Agency for Tourism (the portal МирПутешествий.РФ) and RU-CENTER. Special prizes have been given to the partner department of the Russian Association of Networks and Services at Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI) and the ГодЛитературы.РФ website.
