Results of the 9th Explore the Internet and Govern It! national online championship for school and university students

The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is summing up the results of the 9th Explore the Internet & Govern It! national online championship for school and university students.

A record-breaking number of school and university students (21,500) registered for the 2020 online championship. They represent most Russian regions, including large and small cities, villages and rural towns. In all, there were 18,500 individual participants, with the remaining 3,000 forming 850 teams.

The players had an hour to complete 24 multi-level tests which this time dealt with online culture and Universal Acceptance (internationalized domain names and email addresses), as well as the .РФ national domain, which marked its 10th anniversary this year.

Competitors were able to boost their scores by completing additional assignments, such as preparing infographics on digital technologies or publishing news about the championship on social media, on school websites or in electronic media outlets.

  • 1ST PLACE: Alyona Krasakova (Novokuibyshevsk, the Samara Region)
  • 2nd PLACE: Ilya Nikulchikov (Peterhof, St. Petersburg)
  • 3rd PLACE: Vitaly Chesnokov (St. Petersburg)
  • 4th PLACE: Yana Smirnova (Moscow)
  • 5th PLACE: Ulyana Korostova (Voronezh)

TEAM RANKING

  • 1st PLACE: Power Rangers Team, Captain Suaibat Abdulayeva (Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan)
  • 2nd PLACE: Gymnasia Team, Captain Olga Krasakova ((Novokuibyshevsk, Samara Region)
  • 3rd PLACE: Supernerds Team, Captain Amira Khiziyeva (Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan)
  • 4th PLACE: 7T-2 Team, Captain Yana Nikitinskaya (Moscow)
  • 5th PLACE: 7T-3 Team, Captain Mikhail Averyanov (Moscow)

The winners will receive valuable gadgets as prizes that will prove useful during their studies and in everyday life.

The leaders of the online championship will also receive certificates for studying at the Rostelecom Lyceum online platform for three months.

Those who did not win prizes can download a personalized online certificate of participation from their accounts.

The 9th Explore the Internet & Govern It national online championship is sponsored by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, with the support from Rostelecom and Rostelecom Lyceum.
