On August 28, the official legal information portal published President Vladimir Putin’s Executive Order on Presenting State Awards of the Russian Federation. Two employees of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ are among those mentioned.
The Coordination Center’s First Deputy Director Vladimir Gorzhaltsan and Deputy Director Andrei Romanov have received the medal of the Order for Service to the Fatherland, 2nd Class, for their contribution to the establishment and development of the Russian segment of the internet.
“It is the second time this year that our employees have been presented such a high award. Today, the high state award was given to those who stood at the origins of the internet in Russia and who created the Coordination Center. I am proud to be working with them on implementing the center’s new plans and projects that are useful for the entire Runet. Congratulations to my deputies! I wish you good health and energy for the further development of the Runet,” said Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Andrey Vorobyev.
