Andrey Vorobyev to deliver lecture for journalists

Andrey Vorobyev, director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, will deliver an open lecture on the Digital Journalism educational project’s platform on July 22 at noon. He will speak about internet organization and management principles, legal aspects of using domain names and causes of domain disputes.

The Russian educational project Digital Journalism aims to help authors understand how technology and digital services transform the operation of government, medical, financial, logistics, agricultural, utility and other organizations. The project was launched by the Digital Platforms non-profit and has been led by Vladimir Zykov, who worked as a journalist until recently.

“Digital Journalism is a wonderful opportunity for journalists who cover major socioeconomic subjects to increase their knowledge of information technology in a variety of areas. It’s a special pleasure that the project is led by Vladimir Zykov, who won our DOT Journalism contest for many years, then headed the contest jury and now is sharing his experience and knowledge with novice journalists,” Vorobyev noted.

The Coordination Center director will deliver his lecture online, and everybody interested in the subject will be able to join. The lecture will be broadcast on the project’s VKontakte page.
