CCTLD .RU announces winners of 4th Family IT-marathon

By tradition, on the International Day of Families, marked on May 15, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Academy of Innovative Education and Development announced the winners of the nationwide Family IT Marathon. The ceremony was held as part of the “Family Information Culture” webinar, which also presented other projects to increase user cyber literacy - Explore the Internet & Govern It! and the Digital Dictation – 10 years of TLD .РФ: Internet in Russian, dedicated to Russian-language domains and Cyrillic IDN emails.

This year, the Family IT-Marathon was held for the fourth time running, with 70 family teams from 24 regions of Russia participating. Samara and Moscow were the leaders by the number of teams they had. The competition was organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Academy of Innovative Education and Development with the support of Rostelecom and the .ДЕТИ domain.

The competition comprised two stages: during the first stage, teams were to create infographics based on the educational games of the Explore the Internet & Govern It! project; during the second stage, they completed the tasks in an online cyber literacy tournament related to the Russian national domains .RU and .РФ.

The winners of the 4th Family IT-Marathon are:

  • Team “IT-family” (Tynda, Amur Region), team “In the Bag” (St. Petersburg) and team “Men’s Team” (Perm) – the Absolute Winner category (teams that scored the most points cumulatively in two stages);
  • team “Get in Top Ten” (Perm), team “Buttercups” (Ulyanovsk) and team “Intergalactic Kurniks” (Samara) – leaders of the 1st stage (for the best infographics);
  • Team Inf-IT (Tynda, Amur Region), team Gigahertz (Akhtubinsk, Astrakhan Region) – leaders of the 2nd stage (the teams that scored the most points in the online tournament).

The winning teams will be awarded diplomas and valuable prizes such as Bluetooth speakers, power banks, board games, and useful souvenirs from the organizers. All the participants in the second stage will receive electronic certificates.

The Explore the Internet & Govern It! website features an online gallery of the Family IT-Marathon, with the best projects presented. We invite you to visit the virtual exhibition and evaluate the creative skills of our family teams.
