Fibr.com’s price grows almost 20 times in a year

Domaincracy.com announced the closing of a deal on Fibr.com. It is noteworthy that the domain was sold for $75,000, while slightly over a year ago, last June, Domaincracy.com’s head, Leo Angelo, purchased it for just $3,800 at the NamesCon auction, according to The Domains. This means its price grew almost 20 times in a year.

“Fibr” is not a word in English, but it is sometimes used as a play on fiber or fibre. It is clear that Fibr.com could interest numerous companies in various sectors of the economy, from textile and food production to optical fiber cables. Commenting on the successful sale, domain industry experts note that large domain auctions are not always suitable platforms for selling this type of domain. They primarily attract domain investors, but industry representatives seldom visit them: when they need a domain, they first go to special services such as Domaincracy.com. Leo Angelo, who saw Fibr.com’s potential, should be given some credit.
