Fashion Nova, a well-known manufacturer and retailer of fashion clothes that collaborates with many world-famous celebrities including Kylie Jenner, has filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) against Efashionova.com. The domain was registered in October 2019 by a Malaysian company.
WIPO panelist Anthony Gold quickly reviewed the case and reached a verdict. The non-existent word Efashionova is suspiciously similar to the protected trademark Fashion Nova, and the site content on Efashionova.com was exactly the same as that on Fashion Nova’s site, including discount offers and coupon codes.
According to Domain Gang, the case likely concerns not only cybersquatting but also fraud and counterfeit trade. However, the latter issue falls within the competence of law enforcement agencies, not WIPO. As for Efashionova.com, panelist Anthony Gold ruled to transfer the right to manage the domain to Fashion Nova.
