A new, practical stage has been launched under the Secrets of the Code project to teach programming and the basics of the Internet, organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ jointly with the Academy of Innovative Education and Development with the information support from the Smart Internet Foundation. The project is based on subject matter lectures on professional advancement and career guidance in the IT area.
During the classes, school students and their tutors will have a unique opportunity to meet leading specialists in the industry, listen to their success stories, learn more about the specifics of each profession as well as the specifics of career growth, and learn to evaluate the prospects of the chosen specialization. The key issues include the personal qualities necessary for a successful career in the IT industry, methods of acquiring the basic skills, and areas of further professional growth.
“This will help our audience to get a better grasp of the opportunities and limitations in each profession, make an informed choice, and determine their subsequent steps in building their career,” said Viktoria Bunchuk, head of the Coordination Center social projects. “I would like to note that the lectures are open and available in the Study the Internet and Govern It VK community for everyone interested. A special list contains records of the first season meetings, which will be gradually replenished with this year’s lectures,” she added.
The series of the career guidance meetings was opened by Alesya Degtyareva, federal coordinator of the CYBERS media movement. The students have learnt the objectives and areas of this all-Russian association of children and youth engaged in the digital space. To date, it covers over 50 regions. Its members spoke about the importance of self-development and involvement in contests and projects.
Inspired by the presentation, pupils from a Chelyabinsk secondary school stated their intention to join the CYBERS movement. This will help them expand their outlook, introduce them to advanced technologies, and let them engage in exciting creative initiatives.
Further, the contest participants are to meet experts on inclusive and application development, project managers, designers, digital marketers, and others. These events will become an important part of the educational process, helping young students to better understand the world of Internet technologies and choose the optimal way for their own professional advancement.
The Secrets of the Code project is intended to develop programming skills, increase knowledge in digital technologies, and popularize IT professions among young people, especially students from small and rural schools, boarding schools, and orphanages. The main task of the organizers is to create equal conditions for quality training and tapping young people’s potential in the IT domain. The training is based on teamwork, with teachers acquiring new knowledge and experience and then sharing them with their students. The interactive classes, which enable children to master the core programming principles and get ready for a successful start of their career in the IT area, are particularly important.
The training will finish in the spring of 2026 in the form of a programming contest for students.
