Applications are now open for the 3rd national Viktor Glushkov Competition of Professional Excellence, titled Teacher Who Conquered the Internet.
The initiative is aimed at identifying and promoting the best pedagogical practices that incorporate digital technologies and artificial intelligence into the educational process, as well as contributing to the development of a forward-looking educational environment. Its key objectives include strengthening teachers’ digital competencies and information culture, as well as creating conditions for the emergence of new, high-quality IT-based educational products.
The competition is traditionally organized by the Academy of Innovative Education and Development, with the support of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, the Women’s Union of Russia, the Association of Teacher Education Workers, the Integral Research Institute, and the Smart Internet Foundation (administrator of the .ДЕТИ domain). Vneshkolnik magazine serves as the official media partner.

Supporting talented educators who introduce advanced digital methods into teaching is crucial, as their efforts shape the future of IT education in a rapidly changing technological world,” Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, said.
Any specialist working with children and teenagers can take part in the competition, regardless of their age and working experience. Participants, who have an equal chance to demonstrate their creativity and skills, may include primary school teachers, kindergarten educators, school psychologists, special education teachers, vocational and university instructors, and speech therapists.
In order to participate, applicants must select one of eight thematic tracks and submit a project that fully corresponds to the chosen category:
- Teacher and Pupil: Digital Duet (joint teacher-student projects using AI)
- Teacher and Parent: Family Digital Union(educational resources created collaboratively by teachers and parents)
- Teacher and Class: Digital Team of the Year(collective classroom projects using innovative digital solutions)
- Teacher Creating an Inclusive Digital World(digital products tailored for schoolchildren with special needs)
- XR Teacher: Guide to Virtual Worlds(use of VR and AR technologies in education)
- Provocateur Teacher: Stereotype Breaker(creative projects challenging outdated
- approaches)
- Time Master Teacher: Chronicles of the Future(visions and forecasts of the future development of academic disciplines)
- Teacher Volunteering in Information Culture: Digital Security Guardian (initiatives promoting safe and responsible internet use)
Projects must be submitted by February 5, 2026. The results will be announced in March 2026, following an expert evaluation.

Winners will receive certificates and valuable prizes, and their projects will be presented on the competition’s official online platforms.
