The Center for Global IT Cooperation marked its fifth anniversary, and the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ congratulates its partner on this milestone. Over these five years, the Center has evolved from an analytical platform into a global player with official status at the United Nations, becoming a major unifying force for the expert and professional IT community in Russia and abroad.
Over this period, the Center has achieved impressive results, with its portfolio including participation in 10 sessions of the Internet Governance Forum, more than 340 presentations at international and Russian venues, 62 events, 22 webinars, and 12 business missions aimed at promoting IT exports. The Center’s expert and analytical work encompasses 62 studies of the global digital landscape and 8 reviews of IT markets, as well as 23 scientific publications, 11 of which are indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
The Center places a particular emphasis on youth engagement and the development of human resources for the IT industry. Over the past five years, five youth digital forums (Youth IGFs) have taken place, bringing together more than 307,000 participants in online and offline formats. International cooperation now covers over 20 countries, including Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, CIS countries, and Europe.
Another key area of focus is the protection of children in the digital environment. Since 2021, the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment has organized 87 in-person and online events, reaching a total audience of 1.1 million people, while an additional 150 events have been held with expert participation from the Alliance. More than 13,000 organizations and individuals have joined the Digital Ethics of Childhood Charter, and the CIFRAteka web platform has attracted over 674,000 users.
