Winners of the 2025 Study the Internet & Govern It! online championship announced

The results of the 14th Russian National Online Championship for school and university students, Study the Internet & Govern It! have been finalized.

In 2025, 5,500 school and university students from 45 Russian regions registered for the Championship. For the first time in several years, the Vladimir Region took the lead in participant numbers, surpassing Moscow and the Moscow Region, which traditionally held the leading spots. Other regions at the top of the ranking include the Kirov, Yaroslavl, and Sverdlovsk Regions. A total of 400 participants formed 170 teams to complete tasks collaboratively.

During the competition, individual participants and teams prepared several creative projects – including news articles, social media posts, and a line of souvenir merchandise – and completed 12 interactive assignments in the online tournament on the theme “Multilingual Internet: 15 Years of the .РФ Domain.”

The 2025 Championship was organized, as usual, by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, with support from Rostelecom and the .ДЕТИ domain.

“This Championship has been the most inspiring for creativity in its entire history. For the first time, participants worked on a task whose results we fully intend to implement – namely, designing unique souvenirs for participants in the online and offline activities of the Study the Internet & Govern It! project,” commented Victoria Bunchuk, Head of Social Projects at the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ. “As a result, the participants proved once again the immense potential within each of them – their imagination is truly boundless. That was precisely the goal! Thanks to their fresh, youthful perspective, we will be able to delight the project’s fans with stylish and practical gadgets. The best ideas will be brought to life in the very near future.”

Winners in the individual and team categories will receive diplomas and valuable prizes – gift certificates from the OZON marketplace, Alpina Publishing, or the LitRes digital and audiobook library. Team captains of prize-winning teams will also receive awards, including the book International Internet Governance and a set of souvenirs from the Coordination Center and its educational projects.

Participants who did not win prizes may download a personalized online certificate from their personal accounts.
