Registration for Study the Internet & Govern It! National Online Contest to close on November 11

There is less than a week to go before registration for Study the Internet & Govern It! National Online Contest closes and its 14th edition begins. Individual contenders and teams must enter the competition by November 11 by filing an application on the contest’s website, as well as carrying out creative assignments as part of the first stage. The online contest will begin on November 12, and its outcomes will largely define the final ranking.

School and university students under 18 are eligible to sign up for the contest. Contenders will have to demonstrate their digital knowledge and skills when working with social media and neural networks, while coming up with creative solutions. They will get to design memorabilia for the Study the Internet & Govern It! project, draft news articles about the contest and perform interactive assignments as part of the online contest for discovering what languages the internet speaks, and also getting an insight into the role of the Russian language in the online world.

The top five individual participants and teams will receive diplomas and prizes. The top prize will be a prepaid virtual card from Ozon, an online retail platform, with a balance of RUB 9,000 (approximately $110 as of the day of publication). Other prizes include fancy souvenirs from the Coordination Center and the Study the Internet & Govern It! project, as well as gift cards from LitRes, an online book seller, and Alpina Publishers.

In addition to this, there will be two prize draws as part of the contest: one will offer 170 monthly subscriptions to the HoYoverse gaming universe, and the other will include promotional codes for the Drugoye Delo service.

The 14th Study the Internet & Govern It! National Online Contest will announce its winners on December 4.
