The 3rd Annual Runet Heroes awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in December in Moscow. Experts will recognize people, personas and phenomena that have contributed to publicly significant events and achievements in the Russian segment of the internet in 2025. The award was established by ROCIT, with the Coordination Center as its general partner.
Runet users proposed nominees for the 2025 Runet Heroes at героирунета.рф between March 10 and October 2025. The expert jury short-listed 23 nominees from over 2,000.
The 2025 Runet Heroes short list includes Khariton the talking cat, AI video clips about Russian pensioners, Tatyana Bulanova’s back dancers, Lily-of-the-Valley television show characters Lyosha and Katya, 76-year-old Counter Strike 2 star Olga Ivanovna, nine-year-old Amir Darchinov who is the youngest member of Team Spirit, a professional cybersport team in CS2, ice hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, podcaster Gleb Solomin, and guitarist from Nadezhda Kadysheva’s Zolotoye Koltso band Dmitry Ivanov.
