10 days left to submit entries for the DOT Journalism 2025 contest

Just a few days remain before the submission deadline for the 13th DOT Journalism 2025 annual contest, which invites both professional and aspiring journalists to explore domains and digital technologies. Entries are accepted until November 1, with results to be announced in December at the 2025 Runet Awards. Winners will receive certificates and valuable prizes. The jury will consider articles, analytical pieces, reviews, interviews, video reports, and radio segments created by individual authors or teams, published between January 1 and November 1, 2025.

This year, submissions are accepted in five categories – four for professional journalists and bloggers, and one for aspiring journalists and bloggers under 18:

  • Speaking and Writing in Russian (best publication marking the 15th anniversary of the .РФ domain and the Runet)
  • Domain Coffee Break – Industry Insights (reporting on key sector events)
  • Domain (In)Security (cybersecurity-focused publications)
  • Domains in Layman’s Terms (best piece for a general audience)
  • Young Reporters (special category for authors under 18)

To enter, applicants must complete the submission form on the website by November 1, 2025.

The DOT Journalism contest is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC), with support from the Smart Internet Foundation (.ДЕТИ domain). The contest aims to recognize journalists who cover trends in the domain industry, DNS developments, and internet addressing systems through articles, reports, and multimedia content.

Since its launch in 2012, over 200 professionals and emerging journalists have been awarded. In 2024, the competition received 700+ submissions on domains, digital technologies, and cybersecurity.
