On September 15–16, Kaliningrad hosted the 18th International Conference of Registries and Registrars of the CIS and Central and Eastern Europe (TLDCON 2025). The event gathered more than 160 participants, including representatives of top-level domain registries, domain industry professionals, information security experts, and lawyers from Russia, the CIS, and other countries.
The conference program featured six sessions with presentations from over 40 experts. In addition, during TLDCON 2025, the Coordination Center and Ardis, the conference host, signed a Memorandum on advancing support for internet addressing in the Russian language.
The conference was dedicated to two significant anniversaries: the 15th anniversary of the .РФ domain and the 35th anniversary of Russia’s oldest domain, .SU – both of which were reflected in the event’s logo and discussion topics.
