A meeting of the Youth Council of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ was held during the TLDCON 2025 conference. Council members met with the head of the Summer School on Internet Governance, Anastasia Savelyeva, to discuss plans for the new student cohort and to finalize the curriculum.
The participants reviewed channels for promoting the School, a preliminary list of partners to help attract applicants, and the requirements for the website’s content and informational materials. They also examined proposed changes to the registration system and the structure of the motivational questionnaire used to select participants.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the program’s educational content. The Council discussed teaching methodologies, the formats for seminars and lectures, and the selection of lecturers for both the preparatory and main stages of the course. They also considered the student evaluation system, the development of group assignments, and potential topics for final essays.
Chairman of the Youth Council, Andrei Aleinikov, emphasized that the School’s mission is to develop applied competencies:
“The Summer School has established itself as a platform for knowledge exchange and for developing a new generation of internet governance experts. Our task is to create the right conditions for participants to not only gain theoretical knowledge but also to develop practical skills for their professional careers.”
The head of the Summer School, Anastasia Savelyeva, noted that the program will be refined based on lessons learned from previous years:
“We are committed to making the training not only informative but also as practical as possible. This year, we plan to strengthen the preparatory stage, incorporate more interactive formats, and expand our pool of experts to evaluate participants’ work and provide feedback.”
The outcomes of this meeting will be used to enhance the academic program and streamline the School’s organizational processes, making the learning experience more convenient and rewarding for future students.
