The program will include more than 30 events with the participation of over 1,500 schoolchildren, teachers, and parents. More than 20 experts and speakers from leading educational institutions and IT companies will contribute to the program.

The Week is organized as part of the 18th International Conference for ccTLD Registries and Registrars of CIS, Central and Eastern Europe (TLDCON 2025), which will take place in Kaliningrad on September 15–16. The conference is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.

Program highlights:

  • over 15 lectures and seminars on digital security, data protection, and financial literacy;
  • 3 lectures for students at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University;
  • Interactive classes, tournaments, and workshops on online safety;
  • Board games and quizzes for schoolchildren: Explore the Internet & Govern It;
  • Online webinars for teachers and parent-teacher meetings focusing on mentoring, digital culture, and children’s online hygiene;
  • Safe Internet: First Results and New Horizons conference and a Digital Security Relay roundtable discussion, where the results of the Week will be summarized.

The event is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, Academy of Innovative Education and Development, and Gymnasium No. 32 of Kaliningrad.

Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, noted that the Safer Internet Week in Kaliningrad would be an important educational addition to the TLDCON conference: “Today, digital literacy and cybersecurity concern not only specialists, but also schoolchildren, parents, and teachers. Our common priority is to form a culture of responsible behavior online in the younger generation.”

“For Kaliningrad schools, participation in Safer Internet Week is not just a series of lessons, but an opportunity to join the global digital security agenda and show our students that they are part of a large global process,” Viktoria Belyakova, Director of Gymnasium No. 32 of Kaliningrad, said.

Svetlana Truseneva, Kaliningrad Region Minister of Education, noted that the Ministryalways welcomes such events. She stressed the importance of the fact that this large project was taking place in Kaliningrad, uniting regional and federal efforts to ensure that children feel confident and safe in the digital world.

Tatyana Petukhova, Chair of the Education Committee of the Kaliningrad Administration, added that the Safer Internet Week helped city schools integrate digital literacy into everyday life: “This is practical work that really increases the level of protection for children and adolescents.”
