New Coordination Center Youth Council starts working

The updated composition of the Youth Council of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ began its work on September 1. This year, 70 applications were submitted, of which 24 candidates were selected to join the Council.

Applicants represented a wide geography — from Moscow (24 applications) and St. Petersburg (eight) to Vladivostok, Voronezh, Dushanbe, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Minsk, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Chelyabinsk and other cities. The age of participants ranges from 16 to 35 years.

Candidates who submitted strong applications but were not included in the new Council are invited to take part in other initiatives of the Coordination Center, such as the Explore the Internet & Govern It project aimed at improving digital literacy among schoolchildren and students, promotion of the .ДЕТИ domain, conducting safe internet and digital literacy lessons, and participation in the preparation of Safe Runet Week 2026.

“The competitive selection showed a high level of contestants and young people’s strong interest in internet governance. For us, this is a great incentive to work even more actively and make the Council a place where you can prove yourself and find support. Each new composition of the Youth Council brings fresh ideas and energy. It is gratifying to see that every year the number of applications is growing and the geography of participants is expanding: this shows that young people across the country are interested in the future of the internet and are ready to take part in its development,” said Council Chairman Andrey Aleinikov.

The Coordination Center Youth Council was established as a platform for professional growth, exchange of experience, and the involvement of young specialists in the development of the Runet. The latest council has already begun its work and is ready to contribute to building a safe internet space and promoting digital culture and literacy.
