On August 22, 2025, the Committee for the Development of Domain Space of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ held an expanded online meeting, with invited experts joining the Committee members during the deliberations.
The agenda focused on efforts by registrars to process DNS Abuse claims. In particular, participants discussed whether registrars had to have a dedicated service for receiving and processing these claims. Creating this function within their structure could offer users an easy-to-understand process for submitting claims. In addition, having clear claims processing procedures creates conditions for being more responsive, reducing the number of abuses and preventing them from reoccurring. Moreover, this approach helps improve user trust in national domain zones.
Created in 2015, the Committee for the Development of Domain Space aims to engage professionals in online technology in the work to identify priorities of internet development in Russia and coordinate efforts within the Russian online community on these matters. Apart from technology, the Committee is involved in defining development tracks in the economy, marketing, and GR.
