On July 31, experts from the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ held a Safe Internet Lesson and the Study the Internet & Govern It! quiz at the 16th Youth Educational Conference, Troitsk 2025, being held these days at the Valuyevo health resort.
In 2025, the conference’s theme is “Russia: A Land of Opportunities.” Its participants are students between 13 and 18 years old who actively participate in school life, engage in student self-governance initiatives, excel academically, compete in academic excellence competitions and Olympiads, are members of the Movement of the First, or simply regularly engage in extracurricular activities. During the five-day conference, teenagers work on their projects aimed at improving and developing their district, city, and their country.
Teenagers had an opportunity to meet with experts by attending lectures and workshops, including sessions with member of the Moscow City Duma Alexey Kozlov, Chairman of the Council of Municipalities of Moscow Vladimir Dudochkin, member of the Moscow Civic Chamber Vadim Breyev, CEO of Tubot (TechnoSpark Group) Stanislav Rozanov, Executive Producer of the Crystal Turandot theater award Victoria Vodostoyeva, and other invited speakers.
Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Andrey Vorobyev presented the Coordination Center’s educational and youth projects, and invited counselors to join the autumn session of the Study the Internet Mentor School, enrollment for which has already started. He also invited the most motivated participants who are eager to learn more about internet governance to join the Coordination Center’s Youth Council.
Evgeny Pankov, who works as data analyst at the Coordination Center, animated the Safe Internet Lesson. He talked to students about IT, digital security principles, and how not to fall victim to online scams.
After the lesson, students took part in the Study the Internet & Govern It! quiz. The questions were challenging, yet the participants successfully completed the tasks and received prizes from the project. During this session, students learned the rules of responsible online conduct, methods for protecting personal data, and ways to identify fraud in a digital environment.
The first Youth Educational Conference for Troitsk students took place in 2011 and was organized by the Bytic Foundation’s team. Over the past 15 years, its participants discussed and explored a wide range of topics.
