Results announced of the third quiz to mark the 15th anniversary of the .РФ domain

We have got the results of the Russian on the Internet: Spelled as You Hear It? quiz held on June 6 and timed to coincide with Russian Language Day and the 15th anniversary of the Cyrillic .РФ domain. Over 40 people from 20 Russian cities as well as from Belarus and Germany took part in the quiz.

We regret that none of the participants answered all the 12 questions correctly and in full. Tatiana and Vladislav from Shadrinsk did it best: they answered all the questions correctly and only their answers to question 6 were incomplete. They are the winners and are awarded our prizes: a branded .RU/.РФ zip-up jacket, a diary, and a “Remove before flight” ribbon.

Incidentally, both Tatiana and Vladislav took part in the two previous quizzes timed to mark the 15th anniversary of the .РФ domain and were among the prize winners.

Question 9 was the most difficult: In which of the words listed below is the consonant in the root doubled? Only eight participants were able to answer it correctly.

And question 8 was the simplest for the participants: Which syllable should be stressed in the noun “domain,” which indicates a website's symbolic address? Only three participants put a wrong stress.

The correct answers to all questions are available at the quiz page.

Within a week, we will contact our prize winners through the e-mail they indicated and tell them how they can get the prizes.

We thank everyone who took part in our quiz and look forward to seeing you at our next online and offline events!
