On June 2, the first session of cyber vacation began – a city camp for children aged 10 to 13, held at Cyberdom. Located in the heart of Moscow, Cyberdom serves as a cybersecurity hub that fosters collaboration between experts, businesses, government, and future professionals. It also functions as a cyber training ground for simulating responses to hacker attacks, an interactive museum, and an innovative platform for hosting technology-focused events, all aimed at strengthening the Russian cybersecurity brand.
On the second day of cyber vacation, experts from the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, together with their partner Dr.Web, conducted a Safe Internet Lesson for participants in the first session. The lesson began with an interactive lecture by Yekaterina Biryukova (Dr.Web), who spoke about safe web browsing, online communication, netiquette, and cyber hygiene. The session was held in a dialogue format, allowing the children not only to learn but also to share their own experiences with digital technologies.
Following the lecture, the children took part in engaging activities. Viktoria Bunchuk, Head of Social Projects at the Coordination Center, hosted an educational quiz for schoolchildren titled Explore the Internet. Meanwhile, Marina Linnik, a member of the CC Youth Council and the creator of the board game's concept and mechanics, led a session of the board game by the same name. The participants were divided into four teams and competed in a test of quick thinking and creativity, answering questions and completing challenges centered on the theme Digital Technologies of the Future.
At the end of the lesson, each participant received a set of gifts: the book A Trap for a Cyber Loser, edited by Dr.Web, the comic An Imbalanced Error: How I Almost Lost Everything about online dangers, and practical souvenirs from the Explore the Internet & Govern It project.
Two more сyber vacation sessions are still to come — in July and August — with registration already open. Each session will feature an Internet Safety Lesson organized by the Coordination Center in partnership with Dr.Web and F6.
