To mark the 15th anniversary of the .РФ domain, Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media awarded honored industry workers who made a significant contribution to the development of the national Cyrillic domain and in communications and information technology, as well as for their high professionalism and conscientious work. Expressions of gratitude and certificates of honor from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media were formally presented by its Deputy Minister, Alexander Shoitov.
Awards were presented to 25 people who played a pivotal role in the creation of the .РФ domain and who continue to contribute daily to the development of Runet infrastructure, including seven members of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ: Andrei Aleinikov, Head of Public Relations; Georgy Georgievsky, Head of the Department for Registrar and User Relations; Yulia Demchenko, manager in the same department; Yelena Yevenko, Chief Accountant; Sergei Kopylov, Deputy Director for Legal Affairs; Irina Kuznetsova, Accountant; and Svetlana Lobanova, Project Manager.
In addition, letters of gratitude were presented to employees of the Technical Center of Internet, the MSK-IX Computer Networks Interaction Center, and the Integral Research Institute. The contributions of staff from accredited domain name registrars were also recognized: representatives of the Regional Network Information Center (RU-CENTER), Domenus.ru, SaleNames, and the Nethouse Group also received awards.
All awardees were presented with commemorative anniversary gifts from the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
