On April 26, experts from the Coordination Center hosted an online quiz on digital literacy for children, titled Explore the Internet & Govern It, at the Russian State Children’s Library. They also engaged young readers in a board game of the same name.
On the eve of Biblionight, more than 30 visitors of various ages at the Russian State Children’s Library took part in the Explore the Internet & Govern It game. The game covers a wide range of topics related to the modern digital world, from the basic principles of how the internet works to practical tips for safe online behavior. Participants not only learned about the technical aspects of the World Wide Web but also received valuable advice on protecting themselves from different types of online fraud, taking precautions when communicating online, working safely on the internet, and much more.
The online quiz features a set of questions organized by difficulty level, with the team earning the most points declared the winner. In the board game, players answer questions about digital technologies and solve logic puzzles, competing to outpace their opponents and be the first to reach the “main server.”
Elementary and middle school students, along with their parents, completed tests across four routes: internet structure, cybersecurity, internet culture, and future digital technologies. They also explored a sandbox track featuring questions tailored for beginner internet users. All winners and participants received incentive prizes from the Coordination Center.
