In a week, on April 22, registration will close for the ninth Russian Family IT Marathon. Children with parents and close relatives are invited to participate.
The competition will be held on the website of the Study the Internet & Govern It interactive educational project on April 23 – May 10. Family teams will have to complete 24 interactive tasks of the online tournament on Technology in Education. Bonus points to boost the ranking will be awarded for creating and sharing a social media post about your participation in the Family IT Marathon.
The prize pool of the IT Marathon has grown. On top of certificates and gift cards from Ozon and Litres, the best teams will also receive a copy of the International Internet Governance popular science book, published by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ together with the Department of World Politics of MGIMO University, and To Remember..., a unique collection of poems and short stories from the Nadezhda Foundation for the Support and Development of Children’s Literature. The book includes works about the Great Patriotic War written by 20th century classic writers as well as contemporary authors.
The results of the IT marathon will be announced on International Family Day, marked annually on May 15.
The Family IT marathon is held every year by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ jointly with the Academy of Innovative Education and Development, with the support of Rostelecom and the Smart Internet Foundation (.ДЕТИ domain). In the eight years since the Family IT Marathon began, over 700 family teams from across the country have joined it – that’s several thousand children, their parents, and friends in total.
