Applications for RIGF 2025 Youth Special Course close on March 10

The application window for the RIGF 2025 Youth Special Course is drawing to a close, with submissions accepted until March 10. Individuals dedicated to internet and digital technology governance, development, and utilization are encouraged to register promptly.

Applications must be submitted by March 10 via a registration form containing, among others, motivational questions. This form will serve as a crucial instrument for organizers to assess candidates’ commitment to the topic and their capability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical outcomes.

The Youth Special Course, hosted by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ for the fifth consecutive year, traditionally precedes the Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF 2025). The program is open to students, postgraduate researchers, and early-career professionals from various academic disciplines. Participants will access novel educational resources, enhance their skills in moderating discussions, formulate strategies to address internet governance challenges, and master collaborative online tools.

Participants will receive thorough briefings on key forum topics, interact with leading experts regarding pressing issues, and draft position statements reflecting youth perspectives on current challenges. Discussion themes include artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, cooperation in technology exchange, child protection in online environments, and other relevant subjects.

The course comprises six educational webinars (March 15, 22, and 29) and two interactive seminars (March 31 and April 3), where participants will hone techniques for online group collaboration. The published webinar schedule includes sessions with prominent experts in internet governance, information technologies, and cybersecurity.

Position statements developed by participants during the course will be presented at RIGF 2025 on April 7.

Participation is free, but enrollment is limited.
