The program for the ICANN82 Community Forum, which will take place from March 8-13 in Seattle, US, is available on the ICANN website.
ICANN82 Prep Week sessions will be held online on February 24-26.
On February 26, Maria Kolesnikova, Chief Analyst at the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, will participate in a session on Universal Acceptance progress and the strategy forward for digital inclusion. This session will provide an update on the community’s ongoing work on Universal Acceptance (UA) as well as ICANN’s efforts to promote digital inclusion. UA is critical for building a multilingual internet, and it is essential not only for representatives of the industry focusing on UA implementation, but also for software developers, email service providers, and politicians who support digital inclusion to be involved in this process.
Maria Kolesnikova will talk about the progress of the local initiative put forth in 2019 by the Universal Acceptance Regional Coordination Group of CIS and Eastern Europe and the regional community’s contribution to the global UA process. She will also present the past five years’ outcomes and report on past and future Universal Acceptance events in the region.
Registration is required to access any of the ICANN 82 Prep Week sessions and the community forum.
