On February 19, a webinar “Generation Beta Children, Or Living in a Metaverse,” organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, will take place as part of the Safe Runet Week.
As per tradition, it will be hosted by the VK channel of the Safe Information Environment for Children project, with the Smart Internet Foundation (.ДЕТИ domain) as the information partner.
The stream will be joined by Polina Azmeyeva, leading specialist at Rostelecom, participant in the Digital Mentorship project, and graduate of the Study the Internet mentor school. The webinar will kick off at 12:00 PM Moscow time.
We will discuss:
- the generational theory, the interests and traits of each generation
- specifics of “digital generations” (Gen Z, Gen Alpha and Gen Beta)
- what the new Generation Beta, whose first members were born in early 2025, will be like; how to raise and teach them; whether they will differ from their Gen Alpha predecessors born after 2010
- security risks that arise from the traits of digital generations
