The Knowledge in Tests section of the Coordination Center’s digital literacy project, Explore the Internet & Govern It!, has been updated to include two very different tests. One is designed for experts in the technical part of the internet such as its operation and architecture. The other is for elementary school students who are only making their first steps in exploring the digital world.
The children’s test was co-created with specialists from the Smart Internet Foundation, which manages .ДЕТИ – a Cyrillic domain intended for addressing Russian-language websites for children and teenagers.
Each test contains 26 questions. Most of them are multiple-choice questions, but some of them have more than one correct answer, and some are matching tasks.
Play the CHILDREN: Questions for the Youngest Internet Users and Techno, or Advanced Questions quizzes not only to test your skills, but also to learn new things such as what a utility program is, what happens when you double-click the left mouse button, how most minor device errors can be fixed, what a captcha and a proof-of-concept exploit do, what platform the Octocat mascot belongs with, and much more!
The Knowledge in Tests section includes as many as 27 quizzes, or a total of 440 questions on a variety of digital technology topics. Access to the tests is open to all registered users of the Explore the Internet & Govern It! website.
