On February 10-13, the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association will hold the APTLD 87 conference. It will be held in a hybrid format: an online streaming will be organized for remote participants, and the venue will be Hong Kong.
Representatives of the region’s national registries will discuss key aspects of the management and development of national domains, security and cooperation issues, and will also share news, experience and best practices.
The conference will be attended by experts of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ. Coordination Center Director Andrey Vorobyev will talk about the key achievements and development prospects of the Cyrillic domain .РФ, which turns 15 this year.
Vadim Mikhailov, consultant on the CCTLD infrastructure, will speak at the Technical Protection from Fraud and Anti-Fraud Techniques section, where he will discuss the threats of visual similarity in domain and email addresses. Olga Baskakova, CCTLD Project Manager, will participate in the section on statistics (Juggling Figures: How We Can Make Sense out of Statistics), where she will share her experience in visualizing data in national domains.
CCTLD Deputy Director Irina Danelia will take part in the section on protocols for ensuring uninterrupted business operations, and Maria Kolesnikova, CCTLD Chief Analyst, will take part in a roundtable discussion on a multi-stakeholder approach to managing national domains.

The Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD) is comprised of over 50 regional national registries, including registries of the largest country-code top-level domains: Russia, China, India, and others. APTLD was created in 1998 and is one of the four regional organizations that unites country-code top-level domains registries. The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ joined APTLD’s activities in 2010.
