An overview of the results from the 19th Global Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2024), held from December 15 to 19 in Saudi Arabia, has been published on the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ website.
The forum convened over 11,000 experts from 140 nations, marking it as one of the largest gatherings in the event's history. During the five days, more than 300 meetings, sessions, and high-level discussions were dedicated to addressing key issues in digital development, internet governance, and security.
Russia was represented at the forum by experts from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, the Center for Global IT Cooperation, the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment, Kaspersky Lab, Positive Technologies, and other organizations and companies.
The overview details the key topics, the most significant sections of the forum, and the contributions of the Russian delegation to IGF 2024.
The next Global Internet Governance Forum is scheduled to be held in June 2025 in Norway.
