On December 9, on the eve of the 2024 Runet Prize, the award ceremony for the winners of DOT Journalism 2024, the 12th competition for professional and aspiring journalists, was held. This is a competition for journalists writing about domains and other internet addressing systems, which is held by the Coordination Center for TLDs .RU/.РФ and RAEC with the support of the Smart Internet Foundation.
This year saw a record with more than 700 works on the domain industry, digital technologies and cybersecurity were submitted to the competition. It is especially pleasant to see journalists who have taken part in the competition more than once among the participants and winners.
The expert jury reviewed all the works and selected the best of the best in the following categories:

The Coordination Center’s special category, DOT Blog, was won by the telegram channel of the Integral Research Institute. The certificate was awarded to Head of the PR Department Yekaterina Sukhaya.
Director of the Coordination Center for TLDs .RU/.РФ Andrey Vorobyev presented awards to the winners in the Milestones of Runet category, where authors of the best publications for the 30th anniversary of .RU competed.
“Every year, DOT Journalism attracts more participants, and the competition in the category marking the 30th anniversary of .RU was pretty intense. The theme was interesting to our journalists, and many articles about domain addressing, the development of ccTLDs, and the anniversary of .RU were sent to the competition. But Rossiyskaya Gazeta surpassed everyone here, both in the number of publications on the 30th anniversary of Runet, and in their quality. The Tridesyaty Runet project was chosen unanimously by all members of the jury,” Andrey Vorobyev said.
The creators of the project have won DOT Journalism before: Oleg Kapranov won the Best About Domains category (for a series of materials by one author) in 2022, and Dmitry Bevza became the winner in the Domain Coffee Break: How the Industry Lives category in 2023.
