DOT Journalism 2024 releases contest shortlist

The Coordination Center has published the shortlist of nominees for the 12th DOT Journalism 2024 national contest on its website. The annual contest for journalists and bloggers writing about the domain industry and IT is designed to popularize domain-related topics among internet users, raise awareness about the benefits of owning a domain name, set professional standards and improve the quality level of content on Internet addressing systems. This year, awards will be presented to the best journalists in this sector for the 12th time.

Contest applications were admitted between May 27 and November 1, 2024. This year, almost 700 articles, reports, and analytical materials about the domain industry and other internet addressing systems were submitted. The contest jury, which includes representatives of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, RAEC, and ICANN, selected the best works in each of the four categories:

  • Runet Milestones – best publication to mark the 30th anniversary of .RU and the Runet
  • Domain Coffee Break/How the Industry Lives – reports on various events within the industry
  • Domain Security/Danger – publications on cybersecurity
  • Simply about Domains – best publication for the general public.

The contest winners will be announced on December 9 at the Runet Prize 2024. All of them will receive diplomas and valuable prizes.

Held by Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, DOT Journalism 2024 benefits from the support of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) and the Smart Internet Foundation (.ДЕТИ domain).
