Coordination Center’s youth projects for participants in 3rd Internet Security for Youth International School

On October 2-6, 2024, the Senezh Management Studio youth educational center hosted the third Internet Security for Youth International School. This year, 300 students and schoolchildren from Russia and other countries participated in the main track of the event.

The school was organized by Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) together with the Russia – Land of Opportunity and the team of the Youth Digital Ombudsman as part of the Priority – 2030 strategic academic leadership program. The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ became a partner of the School.

The School’s opening ceremony was attended by Tatyana Matveyeva, Head of the Presidential Directorate for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies and Communications Infrastructure, who delivered a welcoming address on behalf of First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko. Remarks were also delivered by Deputy Rector of Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) Maria Mazhorina, Russia – Land of Opportunity COO and Rector of the Senezh Management Studio Andrei Betin, and Head of the School, Youth Digital Ombudsman Dmitry Gulyayev.

On October 5, Coordination Center employees visited the Senezh Management Studio to tell the School participants about the center’s projects that could be interesting for students, such as the Internet Governance Summer School, RIGF special course, CCTLD Youth Council, and the Digital Reality discussion club and podcast. Chair of the CCTLD Youth Council Andrei Aleinikov, PR Specialist Alina Samokhina and Youth Council member Marina Linnink held a Study the Internet and Govern It quiz for the School participants and presented a board game of the same name, which was created through the joint efforts of the members of the Youth Council of the Coordination Center and the team of the Study the Internet project.

Andrei Aleinikov said they met graduates of the Internet Governance Summer School, participants of the special course, and those who applied to participate in the Youth Council in Senezh.

“However, the main thing is about those participants who have yet to take part in our events and projects and to find out what internet governance is. I hope they will realize what they want to do, and maybe it will be internet governance in its various aspects. Participation in the career track, where the Coordination Center also presented its projects, will help young people decide on the trajectory of their further professional development,” he shared.

“In order to implement the School’s program, we did our best to invite our partners and renowned experts in IT and at the intersection with other areas of knowledge. The Coordination Center was one of them. CCTLD experts told the School participants about internet governance and opportunities for young people, and also tested their knowledge in the format of an interactive quiz and even a board game,” Head of the School, Youth Digital Ombudsman Dmitry Gulyaev said.

The School has become an annual platform for young people aged 18 to 25 to improve their digital and legal competencies. This year its theme is related to ensuring the information and psychological security of young people and building mental immunity of the individual, society and the state in the internet space.
