On October 7, the seventh UIC Dev 2024 technological conference kicked off in Izhevsk, bringing together various IT specialists – developers, managers, analysts, and designers – for professional development and exchange of experience. As in previous years, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is the event’s partner.
Yevgeny Pankov, project manager of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, is taking part in the conference. On the first day, he spoke about the Study the Internet & Govern It interactive project, the Study the Internet Mentor School, as well as the events and projects held to mark the 30th anniversary of .RU. During the next two days of the conference, Yevgeny will hold the Study the Internet & Govern It quiz, with CCTLD prizes and souvenirs for all participants.
“It has become a tradition to hold a Study the Internet & Govern It quiz at the Coordination Center’s stand at UIC Dev. It is very popular among the participants. As planned, we have expanded the project by adding more challenging topics and questions for a more mature and professional audience. Clearly, our participants are enjoying it, as they can now compete in digital literacy and knowledge of internet basics at a completely new level,” Yevgeny Pankov said.
Study the Internet & Govern It is a social and educational project for schoolchildren, carried out by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ with the support of Rostelecom. The project is based on an educational website that teaches the capabilities and principles of the Internet in an accessible and engaging game format, and a training mobile application will help consolidate knowledge. The project includes a nationwide online championship for schoolchildren. Registration is open until November 1.
