Third Mentor School "Study the Internet" Classes Begun

On August 14, classes began at the third School of Mentors "Study the Internet". This is an additional professional advanced training program for teachers, which involves obtaining basic knowledge about the history and structure of the Internet, the processes of managing and internationalizing the global network, but most importantly - professional skills in teaching digital literacy and implementing digital tools in the educational process.

The school was organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ together with the Academy of Innovative Education and Development on the basis of the interactive educational project "Study the Internet - Govern It".

Applications for participation in the third Mentor School were submitted by 330 specialists working with children and youth. Most of the applicants represent Moscow, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Samara, Sverdlovsk and Ryazan Regions, Moscow, the Chuvash Republic, Krasnodar and Khabarovsk territories; several applications were received from pedagogical specialists from new Russian territories; one application came from the Republic of Belarus. 90 applicants passed the preliminary selection by completing a test assignment and were enrolled in the main course of the School.

The School course opened with lectures by Gleb Pyzhov, Advisor to the Director of the Association of the Internet of Things, on the history and management of the Internet. Then, students will meet with experts who will talk about the rules for organizing personal digital infrastructure, socialization of schoolchildren in the digital environment, the regulatory and legal side of raising children, approaches to organizing mentoring in an educational organization, as well as the use of the tools of the "Study the Internet - Govern It" project in the framework of lessons and practical classes for students of different ages.

At the end of the training, mentors will have to complete a certification project - create a lesson or methodological recommendations on the topics of the lectures listened to using theoretical materials and interactive tasks of the project "Study the Internet - Govern It".

All who successfully complete the task will receive a certificate of advanced training of the state standard, a mentor certificate of the project "Study the Internet - Govern It", as well as access to the community of experts in the field of education.
