The school is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ together with the Faculty of International Relations of St. Petersburg State University and is part of the global Schools on Internet Governance (SIG) movement.
The main goal of the School is to immerse students in current issues of Internet Governance and digital cooperation at the global and local level, developing skills for participation in the work of international organizations, conferences and discussions on these topics.
Students, graduate PhDs, young teachers and researchers, as well as specialists and professionals interested in the topic of Internet Governance are invited to participate.
This year, the Internet Governance Summer School will be held online from July 15 to August 20 in two stages:
The preparatory and qualifying stage will take place from July 15 to July 31.
Participants will take an introductory course on Internet governance to immerse themselves in the global context of the topic. Listeners will have online meetings twice a week, as well as homework assignments that will help them prepare for the webinars and master the material.

- Current Issues in the Field of Internet Governance
Based on the results of the stage, it is planned to select 40 of the most active and interested students to participate in the main stage of the School.
The main stage will take place from August 3 to August 20.
The main stage is an additional education program from St. Petersburg State University and involves the interaction of participants with experts in the field of Internet Governance during thematic lectures and discussions. Group work of participants is provided, and the form of the final work is an analytical essay.

After successfully completing the main stage, they will receive a certificate of completion on the additional education program issued by St. Petersburg State University.
