The Moscow Metro has released Troika themed cards in honor of the 30th anniversary of the .RU domain and the Runet. The initiator of the release of thematic cards was the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ together with RAEC and the Reg.ru.
The cards are released in two designs – red and blue. Inscription on the card: April 7, 2024 – 30 years of the .RU domain. This is a reminder that 30 years ago, on April 7, 1994, the national domain .RU was delegated to Russia, and from this day it is customary to count the history of the Runet.
“The Troika themed cards were released as we all celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Runet, and this is a wonderful gift to our users. The launch of these cards into circulation is one of the brightest components of a number of events related to this date, which will be held throughout 2024. In addition, the cards also carry a small educational load: now even more Muscovites will learn that the Russian national domain .RU is 30 years old. I would also like to thank the Moscow Metro for supporting our initiative,” Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, said.
Troika themed cards went on sale on April 29. You can purchase limited-edition Troika cards on the website of the Moscow Metro souvenir shop, in flagship stores at Trubnaya and Mayakovskaya stations, as well as at the Live Communication counters.
