Today, April 23, the Russian High Technology Week 2024— a project that unites several exhibitions, forums and conferences in the field of information technology, telecommunications, navigation and telematics, and is included in the “Designing the Future” initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia — started at the Expocentre Fairgrounds.
At the official opening ceremony of the Russian High Technology Week 2024, Vladimir Kononov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Science and Higher Education, thanked the guests, participants and organizers of the Russian High Technology Week and emphasized that the Week is designed to promote the development of scientific and technological achievements and introducing them into real sectors of the economy.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Shpak said that in the current difficult external conditions it is necessary to talk about achievements aimed at gaining technological independence. Because without such independence, the full development of the state, security and global competition are impossible.
Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Alexander Shoitov expressed hope that the SVIAZ-2024, held within the framework of the Week, will become the largest platform for effective dialogue between representatives of government authorities, scientific organizations, and industry enterprises on topical issues of industry development.
Alexey Borodin, General Director of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications, stated that now it is clearly obvious what we achieved over the last two years — in particular, more and more home equipment is being shown at the expo. “This is not only a time of challenges, but also a time of opportunities!” – the speaker said.
This year the Week includes the exhibition SVIAZ-2024 - the largest international exhibition on telecommunications and information technologies in Russia, the EAEU and Eastern Europe. The are booths of more than 600 Russian and foreign companies with the latest solutions for fixed-line, cellular, satellite and fiber-optic communications, telecommunications server and network equipment, specialized software, and Internet technologies at the exposition.
The exhibition also features a booth of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and accredited registrars, which will be open from April 23 to 26. Experts from the Coordination Center, Reg.ru, RU-CENTER and RF.RU will be happy to communicate with visitors to the exhibition and answer all your questions about domains, hosting and website creation. You can also take part in themed quizzes and competitions on the wall.
On the first day of the exhibition, a quiz was held at the stand dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Runet, and a quiz on knowledge of the history of the Runet and the work of the domain industry. Also, on all days of the exhibition, participants will enjoy competitions and a quiz “Study the Internet – Govern It!” with prizes and gifts.
