From 8 to 13 April, the School Press Days were held in Moscow. This year they were held 23 times. Every year, School Press Days become a large-scale event, bringing together hundreds of young journalists from all over the country. Every day of the event is filled with events, impressions, acquaintances, learning and unmistakable emotions. Great game, press park, tours and tours to the theatres and culmination – awards ceremony!
This year, for the first time, the winners and prize winners of four large-scale projects were awarded: the ninth season of the School Media Marathon of Russia, the sixth season of professional orientation competitions "Mediaton", the first season of project "Children's News", the Sixth Season of the project "Traveling Exhibition".
School Press Days 2024 gathered more than 550 students and teachers from 23 cities of Russia. In total, more than 3,000 children from 51 settlements in 33 regions of the country took part in the projects of the season.
The organizers of the events are the news agency of the school press “Nashpress” together with RGU named after A.N. Kosygin and with the information support of Public Television of Russia (OTR).
The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/РФ became a partner of the events, as well as the founder of a special prize for the participants of Mediaton who prepared a report on the topic of digital technologies. The award was awarded to the Media Center “Opening” team of Moscow School No. 2036, which released a series of reports “on the relevance of mass media”; the final work of the team was devoted to satellite communications and Internet technologies.
The prize was presented to the team by Victoria Bunchuk, Head of Social Projects of the Coordination Center. She thanked the team for the quality work and creative approach to the themes, and also congratulated on the 30th anniversary of Runet, giving the team, in addition to the main prize, souvenirs with anniversary symbolism.
