On February 26, experts of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ conducted a Safe Internet Lesson for 4th grade students of secondary school No. 1228 “Lefortovo” (Moscow).
The Head of special projects of the Center, Alexander Drozdov, spoke about the main rules of safe behavior on the Internet and the importance of critical thinking: how not to fall for the tricks of scammers, what phishing and fakes are, why it is dangerous to post your photos in the public domain and correspond with strangers, and what to do, to protect yourself online.
Chairman of the Youth Council of the Center Andrey Aleynikov told fourth-graders about a safe Internet space - the .ДЕТИ, which turned 10 years old on February 26. He introduced the children to the Catalog of websites in .ДЕТИ, which contains 150 of the best resources in this domain zone for children and their parents, educators and mentors. At the end of the first part of the lesson, students watched a video about Internet security from partners of .ДЕТИ – касперский.дети
In the second part of the lesson, Andrey and Alexander conducted a “Study the Internet - Govern It!” Quiz Students answered questions from two special rounds of the “CHILDREN” quiz about various aspects of the Internet and digital technologies: from computer devices to online games and social networks and instant messengers
At the end of the lesson, all participants received prizes from the project “Study the Internet - Govern It!”
