IGF 2023: How to Build the Internet We Want?

The first stream of the Digital Reality discussion club this year will take place on January 25 at 19:00. The meeting will be devoted to discussing the final messages of the UN Global Internet Governance Forum, held in October 2023 in Kyoto. The main topic of the latest IGF was “The Internet We Want: Empowering All People.” The 18th Internet Governance Forum was attended by more than 9,000 people from 178 countries, and sessions were attended by over 100 ministers, members of parliaments and CEOs of major companies from different countries.

The main focus of IGF 2023 was the idea of taking advantage of rapid progress in the field of artificial intelligence and digitalization while reducing risks. On the opening day of the Forum, the UN Secretary-General’s concept document “The Internet We Want” was also published, proposing general principles for the development of the Internet. And in January, the IGF secretariat published a large final report, which can be found on the Forum website.

During the broadcast we will discuss the results of the Forum in Kyoto and the final messages of IGF 2023.
