The second part of the educational project “Getting online”, organized by experts from the Coordination Center and teachers of the Coddy School of Programming for high school students of boarding schools, has completed.
In September-December 2023, students of grades 8-9 of the Barsukovsky school named after Garanina (Tula region) took a course on website development, and 7th grade students mastered computer literacy skills, learned how to create basic websites and games, and also learned about the possibilities of using neural networks.
During the final meeting, the students completed individual projects and discussed what they would be interested in studying next year as part of the “Getting Online” project.
“Under the conditions of a rich program and the impossibility of doing homework and working on their projects during extracurricular hours, the children from grades 8 and 9 showed excellent results. And 7th grade students, seeing what their elders are doing, are trying to understand the issues of website development. I hope that many more exciting projects and ideas await us this year. Separately, I would like to note the help and support of the teaching staff of the Barsukov boarding school, without which this project would simply be impossible,” Alexander Drozdov, Head of Special Projects of the Coordination Center, said.
A video with the results of the second part of the project was published on the YouTube channel of the Coordination Center.
