The winners of the "DOT-Journalism 2023" were announced during solemn ceremony on December 15 at the Runet Prize 2023. This is a competition for journalists writing about domains and other Internet addressing systems, which is held by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ with the support of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC), the Smart Internet Foundation and an accredited domain name registrar in .RU and .РФ REG.RU.
This year the competition attracted the attention of many talented authors who presented about 400 writings — articles, reports and analytical materials covering events and trends in the domain industry and other Internet addressing systems.
An expert jury carefully assessed all submitted works, and named the best DOT-Journalists:
- Yulia Melnikova (Comnews.ru) in the “Most About Domains” category
- Pavel Khramtsov (“Internet from the Inside” magazine) in the “What’s inside?” category
- Dmitry Bevza (RG.RU) in the “Domain Refreshment Break" – How the Industry Lives” category
- Tatyana Isakova (Kommersant) and Ivan Chernousov (Izvestia) in the “Domain (un)safety” category
- Roman Kildyushkin (Gazeta.RU) in the “About Domains in Detail” category
And the winners of the special nomination of the Coordination Center “Domain Disputes” were Yuri Litvinenko and Nikita Korolev (Kommersant).
“This year the jury had a very difficult task in choosing the best of the best - many publications submitted to the competition were worthy of victory. We see how the quality of publications improves every year, the range of issues expands, and reader interest in domain-specific topics grows. Our laureates have a great influence on the popularization of domain themes among their readers, which generally affects the growth of the industry that we are seeing now,” said Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
