Almost 400 Applications Submitted to the DOT-Journalism 2023

The acceptance of applications for the XI All-Russian competition for journalists and bloggers “DOT-Journalism 2023” ended on November 1, so the competition jury has already begun evaluating the works. The jury includes representatives of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, RAEC, REG.RU and ICANN.

This year, participants submitted almost 400 articles, reports and analytical materials about the domain industry and other Internet addressing systems. The winners will be determined in 6 categories.

  • “About Domains More Than Anyone else” (a series of publications by one author)
  • “What's Inside?” (best material about network infrastructure)
  • “Domain Coffee Break” - How the Industry Lives” (reports on various industry events)
  • “Domain (un)safety” (publications on cybersecurity)
  • “About Domains in Detail” (the best publication for the general reader)
  • REG.RU special nomination for bloggers

The winners of the competition will be announced on December 14 at the Runet Prize 2023 - all laureates will receive diplomas and valuable prizes.

In addition, until November 15, applications are still being accepted in the special nomination “Junkors”, in which aspiring journalists and bloggers - students of secondary and specialized educational institutions no older than 18 years can become participants.

The competition is held by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ with the support of the Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) and the accredited domain registrar REG.RU, which established a special nomination.

The purpose of the competition is to encourage journalists who cover in their articles, analytical materials, reports the trends and phenomena of the domain industry, key events related to the use of DNS and other Internet addressing systems.
